About

Growing up on a small farm with a big garden and lots of fruit trees, plants were just a part of life. I carved forts out of blackberry brambles and turned apple trees into imaginary houses, the nooks of branches becoming rooms.

My relationship with plants got deeper when I got my first pet rabbit and began growing parsley just for him. This was the first time I'd really chosen a plant of my own, rather than simply enjoying what the farm already had to offer. Planting the parsley from seed, watching it grow, harvesting it for my rabbit Jeepers - it sparked something in me - funneled my curiosity in a more specific direction.

Looking back, it's fascinating how plants have shown up at every turn since, feeding my curiosity about the world around us: through my studies, my career, and the herb farm my mom and I started together in 2005.

That curiosity about how we connect with plants and the world around us continued in my studies, as I earned a Master's in Environmental Management, completed a one-year ethnobotany and herbalism apprenticeship as a Community Herbalist, and finished a nine-month EcoSpiritual Facilitation Training in fall 2025.

Today, that wonder still shows up everywhere in my life. I connect with plants through gardening, foraging, cooking, crafting, reading, seasonal observation, and a daily cup of tea. I find just as much meaning in a slow walk through a local park — greeting the same plant friends returning each season — as I do in the science of how humans and plants have shaped each other over time.

At heart, I'm a big plant nerd who loves learning and sharing that curiosity with others.

I'd love to have you along for the adventure.
